Hagar Peeters
Hagar Peeters (1972) made her breakthrough thanks to a performance at the Double Talk festival in 1997, after which she performed at De Nacht van de Poëzie and Crossing Border even before she had published. She made her debut in 1999 with the poetry collection Genoeg gedicht over de liefde vandaag (Uitgeverij Podium). After about eight successful collections of poetry, her widely acclaimed debut novel Malva (De Bezige Bij) was published in 2015. Her latest collection De schrijver is een alleenstaande moeder (De Bezige Bij, 2019) is the first part of a triptych in which she examines the relationship between writing and single motherhood.
