Maarten Steenmeijer
Maarten Steenmeijer (1954) is professor of Spanish Literature and Culture at Radboud University Nijmegen and one of the most important advocates of Spanish-language literature in the Netherlands. He has translated works by Juan Carlos Onetti, Octavio Paz and Jorge Luis Borges, among others. He also reviews Spanish-language literature for de Volkskrant and writes non-fiction books about pop music, among other things.
