Paolo Giordano
Paolo Giordano (1982), originally a physicist, immediately became a successful writer with his debut novel The Solitude of Prime Numbers (La solitudine dei numeri primi, 2009). The novel has sold more than a million times in Italy, won many awards including the prestigious Strega Prize. It has been translated into more than twenty languages. A cinematic adaptation of the novel was directed by Saverio Costanzo. This success was followed by the novels The Human Body (2012), Like Family (2014), and the latest novel Heaven and Earth. Recently he published the essay How Contagion Works – Science, Awareness, and Community in Times of Global Crisis.
