This year, the ILFU has a special ‘coronavirus-proof’ programme with a mix of on-location and online events. We are excited to have the opportunity to present many of the ILFU events live, and we are looking forward to seeing you there! Almost all of our live events will be held in TivoliVredenburg, and together with the management of TivoliVredenburg we will ensure that you can attend the events in safety. But some things will necessarily be different than usual due to the coronavirus pandemic. Below you can find some important information about the safety measures, ticket sales and travelling to TivoliVredenburg.

Safety

We and TivoliVredenburg follow all of the current guidelines and recommendations issued by the Dutch government and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). The ILFU programme will be held in the Main Auditorium and Hertz, so that we can welcome as many people as possible while maintaining safe social distancing measures. You can read more about the general safety rules here.

Ticket sales

Tickets for auditorium events, such as the ILFU Book Talks and the Netherlands Poetry Slam Championship, are only available online via the TivoliVredenburg website. To buy a ticket, simply click on the ticket button for the event and you will be linked to the TivoliVredenburg website, where you can order your tickets.

Please note: you will only be admitted inside TivoliVredenburg if you have purchased a ticket in advance. Once you purchase a ticket, you will receive additional information about your visit, such as which entrance to use. The coat check room is closed, but the lockers are available or you may bring your coat and a (small) handbag into the auditorium with you if you wish.

If an event is cancelled due to circumstances, we will abide by the TivoliVredenburg terms and conditions. You may either accept a voucher or refund of the ticket amount, or you may choose donate the amount paid for your ticket. Travelling to TivoliVredenburg and Utrecht

If you live in Utrecht, then the best way to get to the festival is by bicycle. If you are planning on travelling by train, please follow the government-issued guidelines for travelling via public transport. For more information about the route and parking, click here.
